The Club

three teams

The Club
Ibis Eagles AFC was formed in 2015 through a merger of Ibis (founded 1913 & joined SAL in 1921) and BB Eagles (founded 1919 & joined SAL 1920).

For a very thorough look back on the history of the two clubs, check out the work of David Bauckham and his article Joint Account.

The Teams
We run 5 teams every Saturday, offering a wide range of playing standards and always on the lookout for new players. Our teams play in the Southern Amateur League and various Cup competitions including the SAL, AFA, and LFFA.

We also have a Vets team that play in Cup competitions during the season.

On Saturday
We play our Home games in two locations: GSK on Swyncombe Avenue and Chiswick Cricket Club. Our Away games span the whole of London and into Kent.

We have an important code of conduct that we want our players to adhere to.

Training
During pre-season, we run training Tuesday evenings 7.00-8.30pm at our home ground, Chiswick Cricket Club.  The surface will likely require boots.

During the season, we run training every Wednesday 7.30-9.00pm at Battersea Park All Weather Surface. Your attendance is welcomed, but please make sure you wear Astros or similar – no boots allowed.

Membership
Membership per year is £120 standard, £60 for a student.
